What's the difference between Flex Reusable Disc and other reusable menstrual discs?

First and foremost, it’s the attention to detail that went into the creation of Flex Reusable Disc. Any time we launch a new product, our team of medical device experts conduct extensive research to make sure our design will not only be functional and reliable, but that it will also work for the widest variety of bodies and vaginal anatomies.

All Flex products are manufactured in the USA and Canada—and the Reusable Disc is no exception.

One of our favorite features of the Flex Reusable Disc is its patented easy insertion notch. Located on the inner rim, the notch helps the disc form a leading edge (AKA a narrow insertion point). Simply guide the leading edge into the vaginal canal and push the disc all the way back into the vaginal fornix. Once in place, the disc will open up fully, providing leak protection and comfortable, all-day wear.

Unlike other reusable discs on the market, Flex Reusable Disc does not have a stem, as these may cause irritation or discomfort in the vaginal canal and can potentially be felt by your partner if you’re having penetrative sex

Our Reusable Disc is made with 100% medical-grade silicone and without dyes or colorants. Best of all, it features a high capacity for reliable coverage no matter how heavy your flow. The disc holds up to 70mL of period blood (that’s over 14 teaspoons!), which is the same capacity as 6+ super tampons. Wear it for up to 12 hours at a time and enjoy these benefits & more:

  • Does not promote the growth of toxic bacteria

  • Does not disrupt your vaginal pH

  • Designed to help reduce odor and cramps

  • Not linked to toxic shock syndrome (TSS)

  • Allows for easy insertion and removal, thanks to a patented design
