What are your sustainability practices?

We believe in creating a world where people with periods—and the planet—thrive. These are just some of our initial sustainability practices, with more on the way:

Flex Disc generates 60% less waste than traditional period products. Although it's a single-use product, it's designed for longer wear (up to 12 hours) and holds as much blood as 5+ super tampons. This means less plastic waste going to landfill when compared to traditional period products.

Our newest disposable disc, Flex Plant+ Disc, is made with 40% plant-based polymers derived from sugarcane plants. Production of this eco-friendly polymer captures CO2, rather than emitting CO2, resulting in an estimated reduction of 176% KG of CO2 emissions compared to a non-plant-based polymer.

The reusable Flex Cup, made with 100% medical-grade silicone, lasts for years when properly cared for—as does our new Flex Reusable Disc. Both are zero-waste products.

Our wipes are made with plant cellulose and are biodegradable when flushed (flushable per INDA guidelines). Our Eco Disposal Pouches are made with plant-based BioFilm, as well.

All our products are made in the USA and Canada, meaning fewer carbon emissions thanks to shorter journeys from production to our warehouses. Since one-fifth of worldwide carbon emissions are caused by transport, we’re committed to keeping our production local and reducing our impact.

Our product packaging for Flex Disc, Flex Reusable Disc, and Flex Cup is 100% recyclable, and our Flex Plant+ Disc 12-count packaging is 100% compostable.

If you have sustainability suggestions for us, we’d love to hear them—so please feel free to get in touch!
