I'm honestly writing this because I felt really alone when I made this switch, at first. All the reviews make it seem like people effortlessly made the switch to a menstrual cup and that was not how it was for me. I'm a long distance runner, mountain biker (all bikes, really), and field paleontologist and I hate the environmental impact of disposable period products but have always been intimidated by a menstrual cup. Recently I had my IUD taken out and for the first time in 4 years began having a cycle again and finally decided it was time to do it. The first day of my first period if 4 years was a challenge and I had a hard time finding the right position what worked for my body and new menstrual cup. After the first day I was sad, exhausted, and SO frustrated because I just couldn't figure out why I couldn't figure it out. I finally decided to message someone at Flex and am beyond happy that I did. Four different women listened to me and asked questions about what was going on and I finally figured out what I needed to do and what worked for my own body. This is my third day with it and I'm really happy I stuck with it and remained patient. Prior to my IUD I had such terrible periods that my husband would find me on the ground in pain due to cramping and so far, the cup has severely decreased my cramps which is a damn miracle and worth the original frustrations. I can't recommend this company enough or this product!
