I had a painfully traumatic experience with diva cup so I was skeptical about flex cup but I wanted to try it because it seemed easier to remove thanks to the pull tab. On my heaviest days, my period is abnormally heavy. I would leak through an ULTRA tampon after 3-4 hours. That’s how long the cup would last before leaking too. Even though the cup didn’t last longer than a tampon on my heaviest days, I still prefer it because I am afraid of TSS from tampons (I think the risk increases with higher absorbency)
Why I love the flex cup:
-saves money on period products over time
-no links to TSS
-no guessing what absorbency of pad/tampon to use on any given day (has anyone else ever inserted a tampon and it came out mostly dry 8 hours later?)
-Easy to insert and remove once you get the hang of it (2-3 cycles until I felt 100% comfortable)
-Less leakage than tampon while sleeping even on heaviest nights
2 months before writing this review, I started a birth control to make my periods lighter. The cup has been EVEN better now that I have a lighter flow.
