- AOAshley O.Verified Reviewer1 week agoRated 5 out of 5 starsI’ll never look back
I discovered flex disc about 8 years ago when looking for an alternative to tampons, since I had made the connection between them and my migraines.
The idea of a cup always gave me the ick and I could never understand how it could be comfortable but I was also not a pad person. I initially came across a brand called soft disc, which was a bit cheaper and disposable (flex also carries this option) so I decided to give it a go. I LOVED it, they were easy to use stayed in place and didn’t leak, but they didn’t make a reusable option, I switched to flex and have literally never looked back. I have my reusable and keep a box of disposables just in case.
I never worry about leaking or discomfort. Once it’s in you literally cannot feel it. I have a very heavy flow and cramps and Flex has been by far the best option for me. Not having to worry about changing for 12 hours is very convenient especially as a busy mom with adhd, it’s easy to just remember before bed and when I wake up, and the fact that it self empties is amazing.
Not to mention the mess free sexy time is a major bonus.
I have been consistently recommending this product to any woman who will listen for nearly a decade now. If you’re on the fence DO IT.

I just bought the reusable flex disc. I had no issue with the insertion after reading the directions. I was scared at first when taking it out but then I watched the video and it helped so much. You can’t feel it at all. I had no leakage!! I have always had to wear a super tampon and change it every 2 hours minimum with a heavy flow. And with this disc suprised as I was worked so well! I exercised and it was not noticeable. At first I didn’t understand how it emptied itself but after a few times of trying I figured it out!! I just had to sit on the toilet towards the very edge. And be on my tippy toes and push hard as if you were trying to poop! Overall I’m so impressed. I never thought in a million years this is something that I would like or even try. No more endless bathroom breaks. No more ruined panties. No more embarrassment with using the restroom and discarding period products. Thank you reusable flex disc!!

I had been hesitant when menstrual cups started to come out. Then once all the toxins were revealed in pads and tampons I knew I needed to change. I am so incredibly thrilled with this! I’ve only had one leak due to not placing it correctly, but ever since then it’s been a dream! My periods are even lighter and it’s so comfortable for all day use.

Seriously, I hate to sound dramatic but the Flex Disc has changed my period for me. I've tried a couple different period cups and could never get them to fit right. And, tampons are so annoying! The Flex Disc lasts 12 hours, I have never had a leak, and it's so comfortable. I was worried it would be difficult to figure out but all of the video and images make it so easy. I've also noticed less cramping which is a huge win.

I was very hesitant at first, but after using it several months and have figured out how to get it in without it leaking, I love it. I love getting to just put it in in the morning and not worry about it for the rest of the day, and not to mention how much better my cramps are. one thing- if you plan on having sex with it in, it will go way up there to the point that you think you’ll have to have help getting it out. but mess free sex! no towel or anything

Frequently Asked Questions
Flex Reusable Disc is a body-safe and sustainable menstrual disc that provides all-day comfort and a high capacity, holding as much as 6+ super tampons-worth (70 mL) of fluid. It was thoughtfully engineered to be as easy to insert and remove as our best-selling disposable Flex Disc—but it’s 100% reusable and lasts for years.
Flex Reusable Disc features two new technologies for easy insertion and removal: Made with dual silicone construction, the disc has an ultra-soft, thin catch and a sturdy rim for non-slip removal, while its patented insertion notch creates a narrow point at one end when the disc is pinched for easier placement.
Like Flex Disc, the Reusable Disc is worn in the vaginal fornix. This means the vaginal canal is left unobstructed, so you can enjoy all the mess-free period sex™ your heart desires. Sleep in, swim, go for a run, live your life: Flex Reusable Disc provides 12 hours of uninterrupted leak protection and comfortable wear. You might even forget you’re on your period.Flex Reusable Disc: Great for your wallet. Even better for the planet.
The lifespan of the Flex Reusable Disc varies depending on cleaning and care, but it can last for years. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend replacing your disc every two to three years, or as soon as it begins to show any signs of deterioration (such as powder or film, severe discoloration, persistent odor, etc). Refer to our Reusable Disc Cleaning Instructions to learn how to care for your silicone disc and extend its lifespan.
As a reminder, do not use Flex Reusable Disc if you have a yeast or bacterial infection. Resume use only once the infection has completely cleared. If Flex Reusable Disc was inserted during a yeast or bacterial infection, remove it immediately and dispose of it in the trash.
The majority of Flex Disc users have heavy flows! We’ve heard from tons of customers with especially heavy periods who swear by Flex Disc, thanks to its higher capacity and 12-hour (read: all day) wear. The disc can hold up to 60 mL of fluid. That’s as much as 5+ super tampons!
Worried about leaks? Don’t stress. When inserted correctly, Flex Disc shouldn’t leak. You can even extend your wear time on your heaviest days by taking advantage of the disc’s hands-free emptying feature: Just bear down gently with your pelvic floor muscles when using the bathroom. This will shift the position of the disc so that it allows a little fluid out into the toilet. When done, simply use a clean finger to tuck your disc back into place behind your pubic bone.
Have Qs? Feel free to reach out to our Flexperts: Call 800-931-0882 or email help@flexfits.com.
First, wash your hands. Find a position to insert your disc: Some sit over the toilet, some stand with a leg elevated, some insert in a full squat. Play around until you find a position that works best for you!
Pinch the disc in half and begin inserting it into the vaginal canal, making sure you are pushing the edge that goes in first down and back towards your tailbone so that it sits at an angle and fully covers the cervix. Down and back is key! Then, tuck the front rim above and behind your pubic bone. Make sure it's pushed past the pubic bone as far as it can go.
You shouldn't be able to feel the disc. If you can still feel the disc internally, meaning with your vagina, just take it out and try it again. When you’re first starting out, know that it’s normal for it to take a few tries before you’ve mastered insertion! Learn more here.
