- JJazminVerified Reviewer3 weeks agoRated 4 out of 5 starsTakes getting used to
I purchased mine at cvs after wanting to switch from tampons. The last time I tried the cup it was so hard to get it out but this sold me on the pull tab. Definitely takes a learning curve and a way that you feel comfortable putting it in and out but truly is better than a tampon. I don’t need to worry about changing frequency or leaking. Any leaks is because it’s not positioned right. I feel and also smell much more fresh than a tampon. I also keep white vinegar in a spray bottle and clean it every time I take it out.

I absolutely love the flex cup at first it took me a little while to learn and get a good technique but after that, absolutely amazing I had no leaks no problems I could barely feel it which was something I was worried about at first but it honestly feels like a normal tampon and for somebody who is very allergic to bleach tampons have always been a struggle for me but since I started using the flux cup I haven't had any issues regarding my health at all which I've been so unbelievably thankful.

It's easy to pull out because of the ring shape pull tab! I was scared to buy a period cup because I was scared of it being stuck inside of me because of my dexterity issues due to my multiple disabilities, but this works amazingly and I don't have to worry about it at all!!!
It is a bit hard to put in the first time, but it definitely gets easier as you practice and I have almost no issues after using it a few times.

I really want to give it 5 stars because out of all the cups I've tried this one was definitely my favorite but there are a couple flaws that keep me from a full 5. The fist issue is that I have had this cup for about a year and a half and about 3 months ago the pull tab started to tear and last month it fully tore. I was surprised since of all places to be sensitive and pull gently, this is definitely one of them. I can't really use the cup now without the pull tab.
My second issue is the leakage. I had zero issue with leaks for the first 3-4 months and for the last year I will randomly have a day where it leaks a little, I'll make no adjustments, and then it won't leak again. Because of this I really cannot seem to figure out the reason for the random little leaks but it makes relying on the cup a hard task for full workdays.
Overall I do like the push to become more sustainable and this was the most comfortable cup I've worn out of the 4 I've tried. I will note that I learned I cannot use it my first or second day because I'll notice much worse cramping due to it but that is a personal problem but maybe good to note for someone who might have a similar issue.

I've tried a menstrual cup before and it was cumbersome and unreliable. My cervix is in a weird spot and I always seemed to have leakage no matter how I put it in, and it was always a struggle to get it in and out easily. This cup was seamless and no leakage all day on my heaviest day. I'm so happy! Finally I don't have to worry about my periods and ruining my underwear.

With proper care, Flex Cup can last for years—so it’s better for your wallet and the planet. If your cup is showing any signs of deterioration, such as powder or film on the cup, severe discoloration, persistent odor, etc.—that means it is time to replace.

We know you've probably been searching the internet for days to find the perfect menstrual cup and you're probably thinking, what's the difference? They're all pretty much the same, right? Not this cup!
Flex Cup can be safely worn for up to 12 hours. It's hypoallergenic and made with medical-grade silicone—but what makes it truly stand out is its super-soft, adjustable pull-tab. The pull-tab threads through a small hole at the base of the cup and attaches to the inner rim (at the top). When you pull down on the pull-tab, it collapses the side of the cup inwards, breaking the suction seal for you.
Wait, don’t other cups have a stem or “pull-tab,” too? Sure—but those stems are nothing more than a guide to help you find the base of your cup. If you tried to pull down on a traditional cup’s stem without first breaking the seal, you could put your vagina and cervix at risk for suction-related injury or discomfort.
Imagine trying to get a suction cup off your shower wall by pulling straight back: probably not gonna work, right? You have to get up under that suction cup by peeling one side away from the wall. Same idea with a menstrual cup! Typically, you have to manually grip the base of your cup with a finger and thumb in order to break the seal before you pull it out.
With Flex Cup, you can skip that step and use the pull-tab the same way you’d use a tampon string. This design makes Flex Cup beginner-friendly, more accessible for those with disabilities, and perfect for IUD users.

Many of our customers with heavy periods swear by Flex products. Flex Cup is a great option for users with heavy flows. Size 01 holds the equivalent of 2 super tampons, while Size 02 holds 3 super tampons-worth of period blood. Plus, the cup's adjustable pull-tab makes it easy to remove, empty mid-wear, and reinsert on the heaviest of days.
