    I love your product!

I recently ordered your Disposable Flex Plant+ Menstrual Disc and I’m so happy I did! I was hesitant to try them because I thought it’d be confusing and messy but this has changed the period game for me! I honestly forgot I was using one because it’s super comfortable and I didn’t leak at all! Y’all understand our needs and I’ll never go back to tampons! Thank you so so much😍

I never have to worry about my period ruining a vacation

My husband planned 2 different getaways at 2 DIFFERENT times of the month. 1st time my period was right on time. So I was prepared and we had a private pool and a hug tub, NO WAY I WAS SKIPPING OUT ON THOSE! I packed the right amount too. The 2nd vacation was towards the beginning of the month this time. So, NO WAY I was getting my period, but I packed an unopened bag of disc's just in case. WELL GOOD THING!!! Sex is not messy, these don't leak and I can't feel it. (Nor can he.) I do have to sleep in period panties because sometimes when I shift on a heavy day it does leak. I could use a pad but I dislike it so, the feeling of a diaper so close to my nether regions, I do use liners but I use store brand they are significantly cheaper. I wish the liners were a bit more affordable.

    Revolutionized my period

I have fibroids and a really heavy period. I couldn’t keep up with the constant tampon and pad changes, they were so disruptive to my life. Flex discs made those days of the month like any other and I can actually live like a normal person again. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to feel free and protected during their periods.

    Didn’t fit me right

GREAT idea. Off the bat, it fit much more comfortably than a tampon. But they do say that “one size fits most” and I don’t think I’m in the most category:( After a few hours of wearing it the first day, I noticed a strange sort of pressure. On the second day, that pressure was actually causing me some hip discomfort. I think the disc was just a bit too big for my body. I wish it came in different sizes!

    Game changer

I am still befuddled. I made the switch from tampons this month. Like when we began wearing tampons there is a learning curve, don't give up. Removal was the only tricky part for me, insertion was so easy I didn't believe I did it right the first time. By the third day, I figured out how to remove easily. Cramps, never heard of her. The period odor, gone. I am a huge Stan and will be shouting from the roof tops at every human I know that still bleeds. Don't let it intimidate you this is a game changer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Many Flex Plant+ Disc users have heavy flows! We’ve heard from tons of customers with especially heavy periods who swear by the disc, thanks to its higher capacity and 12-hour (read: all day) wear. It can hold up to 60 mL of fluid. That’s as much as 5+ super tampons!

Worried about leaks? Don’t stress. When inserted correctly, Flex Plant+ Disc shouldn’t leak. You can even extend your wear time on your heaviest days by taking advantage of the disc’s hands-free emptying feature: Just bear down gently with your pelvic floor muscles when using the bathroom. This will shift the position of the disc so that it allows a little fluid out into the toilet. When done, simply use a clean finger to tuck your disc back into place behind your pubic bone.

If you’re a first-time menstrual disc user, don’t forget to reference the Instructions for Use enclosed in your disc’s packaging! For more detailed information, including video, head over to our complete “How to use a disc” page

Just need a quick refresher on disc insertion and removal? Here’s an abbreviated version:

How to insert a menstrual disc:

  1. Wash your hands. Always wash your hands before insertion and removal. If you’re using Flex Reusable Disc, wash your disc, too, with warm water and a mild cleanser.

  2. Find a position to insert your disc. Some sit over the toilet, some stand with a leg elevated, some insert in a full squat. Play around until you find a position that works best for you!

  3. Pinch the disc in half and begin inserting it into the vaginal canal, making sure you are pushing the edge that goes in first down and back towards your tailbone so that it sits at an angle and fully covers the cervix. Down and back is key! If you’re using Flex Reusable Disc, insert the disc notch-side-first

  4. Tuck the rim above and behind your pubic bone. Make sure it's pushed past the pubic bone as far as it can go. Another way to think about it: You want to bring the front rim of the disc up towards your belly button, so the front of the disc is angled higher than the back.

  5. You shouldn't be able to feel the disc. If you can still feel the disc internally,

meaning with your vagina, just take it out and try it again. When you’re first starting out, know that it’s normal for it to take a few tries before you’ve mastered insertion!

How to remove a menstrual disc:

  1. Relax. Making sure your muscles aren't tense will help you remove your menstrual disc swiftly and comfortably. So take a couple of deep breaths. You got this!

  2. While sitting over the toilet or standing in the shower, bear down gently on your pelvic floor. The sensation will be similar to that of pooping (don't worry, you won't actually poop). This will help pop the disc out from behind the pubic bone, making it easier for you to reach. Another way to think about engaging your pelvic floor is to imagine you’re hitting the “eject” button for your vagina and push your disc forward

  3. With a clean finger, hook the rim of the disc in a "come hither" motion and pull it out gently. Be sure to keep your disc horizontal (parallel to the floor) to prevent any spillage.

  4. Empty the contents of the disc into the toilet or down the shower drain. If you’re using Flex Disc or Flex Plant+ Disc, dispose of the used disc in the trash. If you’re using Flex Reusable Disc, rinse with cold water and then clean thoroughly with warm water and a mild soap or cleanser (like Flex Foaming Cleanser), then air dry and store in its pouch until next time.

Know that it’s normal for it to take a couple of cycles before you’ve mastered disc insertion and removal! Every body is different. You might even find that the position of your cervix—which changes almost daily—impacts your insertion angle. The more comfortable you get with your body and with the disc, the easier it will be.

Note: Consult with your physician prior to using Flex Disc, Flex Reusable Disc, or Flex Plant+ Disc if you are prone to vaginal/bacterial infections, yeast infections, urinary tract infections, or have other medical, anatomical, or genetic predispositions which may increase your risk for these types of infections.

If you experience painful or difficult urination, or an inability to completely empty your bladder while using a Flex menstrual disc, discontinue use immediately and consult with your physician.

All Flex menstrual discs, including Flex Disc, Flex Plant+ Disc, and Flex Reusable Disc, can be safely worn for a maximum of 12 hours.

Flex Disc and Flex Plant+ Disc are single-use products and cannot be washed and reworn. After 12 hours, dispose of your Flex Disc or Plant+ Disc and insert a new one.

Menstrual discs, including all Flex products, are regulated by the FDA; they are approved for a maximum of 12 hours of continuous wear. Please use as directed.

Flex Disc, Flex Plant+ Disc,  and Flex Reusable Disc all fall into the ‘menstrual disc’ category of period products: Like a cup, they collect (rather than absorb) your period blood, but they’re worn in a different part of the vagina: the vaginal fornix. The vaginal fornix is your vagina’s ‘rear wall’—it’s the widest part of the vaginal canal, just beneath your cervix.

Menstrual discs have many benefits that set them apart from traditional period products: They offer ultra-comfortable, 12-hour wear, can be worn during mess-free period sex™, and they’re easy to use for beginners and pros alike.

Menstrual discs are held in place by the pubic bone. They have a wider diameter than a standard (bell-shaped) menstrual cup, which is worn lower down in the vaginal canal.

Flex Plant+ Disc and Flex Disc are single-use products and cannot be washed and reworn. Plant+ and Flex Disc are both made with medical-grade polymers—however, Plant+ Disc’s polymer is 40% plant-based and derived from sugarcane.

Flex Reusable Disc, on the other hand, is a 100% reusable product made with medical-grade silicone. Flex Reusable Disc was designed to be washed and reworn (just like Flex Cup) and has a lifespan of 2+ years.  Between cycles, simply wash with a mild soap or cleanser and store in its carrying pouch.

All Flex period products (including Flex Disc, Plant+ Disc, Flex Reusable Disc, and Flex Cup)  are made with medical-grade, hypoallergenic materials that won’t host toxic bacteria or alter your vaginal pH. They feature a higher capacity than traditional period products, like tampons or pads.
